These initiatives are dedicated to empowering older adults to maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle through technologically advanced solutions.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8220;We&#8217;re looking at the holistic view of the older adult and how technology can help meet their needs,&#8221;<\/span><\/b> explains Dr. Wallace. <b><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8220;Our focus is on industry-connected research that can move innovations from the lab to the real world.&#8221;<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">SAM<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">3<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> specializes in technology for older adults aging in place, combining expertise in pressure and force analysis, machine learning, acoustics, video magnification, motion sensing, and electronic noses with vital signs, sleep, gait, activity, cognition, and smart homes assessment. Solutions are co-created with <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">industry, clinical, academic, and older adults and their families to ensure technology\u2019s <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">functionality and to align with the needs of older adults.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Several cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of aging care have been influenced by SAM<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">3<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8216;s expertise, particularly the creation of\u00a0 a revolutionary transfer technology &#8211; the ALTA Platform\u00ae by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ableinnovations.com\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Able Innovations.<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> The intelligent and automated device allows a single caregiver to effortlessly and dignifiedly transfer a person between surfaces, such as a bed or CT table, without touching or risking injury to either.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8220;It&#8217;s exciting to see these technologies moving from the lab to the market,&#8221;<\/span><\/b> says Dr. Wallace.<b><span data-contrast=\"none\"> &#8220;Six or seven years ago, these kinds of solutions were still very much in the research phase.
