data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In this project, the Centre for Technology Adoption for Aging in the North (CTAAN) and The Mount Nurse Co. will conduct rigorous experiments and collect scientific data to test and validate the effectiveness of AltumView\u2019s newest version of the privacy-preserving activity monitoring technology in aging-at-home and long-term care settings respectively, including its impact to the older adults, their family members, the care facility staff, and the facility itself.\u00a0<\/p><p>This will allow AltumView to improve its existing design and add new features to the technology based on feedback. For example, improving the accuracy of fall detection, modifying the technology so that it can be integrated into the facility\u2019s existing system and daily protocol, developing new features to solve more pain points, and developing new algorithms to detect more activities of interest to the end users, such as eating, drinking, and cooking, or other abnormal activities.<\/p><p>This project will improve AltumView\u2019s product, so that it can help more older adults and care facilities in Canada and around the
