In long-term care facilities (LTCs), falls are even more frequent and impactful than at home. These falls place a significant burden on clinical workflow, the daily lives of healthcare staff, and the health of residents.\u202f\u202f\u202f<\/p><p>Hip protectors are not currently on LTC residents at high risk of falling, because home residents do not want to wear them, and clinicians are generally unconvinced of their effectiveness.\u202f\u202f<\/p><p>The project involves implementing and evaluating a smart and innovative inflatable hip protector in LTCs. The objectives are to\u202f\u202f\u202f<\/p><p>assess the impact of this device on clinical\u202f\u202f\u202f<\/p><p>workflow reduction of injuries sustained during falls. Ultimately, the goal is to reduce the number of major injuries such as pelvic fractures sustained during falls while minimizing the clinical and operational flow of healthcare professionals in
