2024 envisAGE Forum: Innovation in Motion
More than 250 AgeTech stakeholders across Canada and beyond came together at the 2024 envisAGE Forum held in Edmonton, Alberta on October 23 for a day dedicated to the commercialization and integration of AgeTech solutions into practical benefits for older adults and caregivers.
The Forum, co-hosted by AGE-WELL and MEDTEQ+, began with keynote speaker Christopher Kunney, Managing Partner at IOTECH Consulting and an expert in health information technology and digital transformation, sharing insights into adopting new AgeTech technologies.
Closing keynote speaker, Dianne Buckner, host of “CBC Dragons’ Den,” inspired the audience by sharing her expertise on turning ideas into reality, aligning with the Forum’s theme: Innovation in Motion for Quality Aging.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in networking, inspiring panel discussions with partners from across the ecosystem and a pitch showdown moderated by Dianne Buckner.
A milestone of the 2024 Forum was the announcement of the first 15 collaborative projects resulting from an unprecedented national mobilization through envisAGE.
Each project brings together a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) with a later-stage technological solution, an envisAGE Beachhead™ or an Innovation Hub, experts that will assess the integration of the solution, and a Community Lab, such as an organization working with seniors and caregivers, in a real-world setting where the solution will be implemented.
