The envisAGE National Tour Continues its Journey in Saskatchewan to Engage the Canadian AgeTech Ecosystem
Following a successful first leg in Manitoba, the envisAGE National Tour made its way to Saskatchewan with two consecutive stops in Regina and Saskatoon. The events brought together entrepreneurs, researchers, government officials, and innovation leaders committed to improving the quality of life for older adults and caregivers through technology.
Regina: Fostering Strategic Discussions and Collaboration
Hosted by Innovation Saskatchewan at R+T Park, the Regina event brought together a dozen participants from the entrepreneurial, academic, and government sectors.
The event provided an opportunity to present the envisAGE program in a casual setting that fostered dialogue among stakeholders passionate about innovation in aging. Discussions quickly evolved into an interactive dynamic inspired by expert-judged competitions, creating an environment conducive to building business relationships, sharing innovative ideas, and fostering new collaborations.
Saskatoon: Highlighting On-the-ground Needs and Innovation Opportunities
The Tour then continued in Saskatoon, also as part of Innovation Saskatchewan’s activities. Entrepreneurs, startups, researchers, and academic representatives gathered to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to an aging population.
During the networking event, participants took part in pitches and reverse presentations, allowing SMEs and Community Labs to share their needs, challenges, and solutions. This approach fostered networking among the various stakeholders present and highlighted several local realities.
A National Tour Focused on Impact and Collaboration
This second stage of the envisAGE National Tour underscores the importance of creating a collaborative framework among the various stakeholders in Canada’s AgeTech ecosystem. By fostering connections on the ground, envisAGE helps bring together stakeholders across all sectors, develop promising collaborations, and support the creation of solutions that address the real needs of older adults, family caregivers, and communities across the country.
“The envisAGE National Tour serves as a key driver for structuring and strengthening the AgeTech ecosystem across Canada. The stops in Regina and Saskatoon highlighted innovation approaches rooted in real-world needs and catalyzed high-potential collaborations, which are essential for accelerating the development and adoption of solutions that benefit older adults and their caregivers,” said Sabrina Boutin, Executive Director of envisAGE and Vice President, Strategy and Global Partnerships, MEDTEQ+.
The envisAGE National Tour will continue its journey across several Canadian regions in the coming months to foster networking among innovation stakeholders, stimulate partnerships, and increase the visibility of the Canadian AgeTech ecosystem.
